During my time as an undergraduate I have learned more about fundraising than I ever thought I would. Below are examples of my coursework in fundraising that will hopefully lead me to a successful career in higher education fundraising where I can fulfill my passion of supporting college students in their collegiate careers.
Below is my final #GivingTuesday project where I developed a plan to fundraise for First Responders Children's Foundation. It contains studies done before the plan was developed as well as social media posts and solicitation letters. This is an example of the type of work I

This artifact allowed me to investigate and research a new nonprofit that aligned with my passions, create and design a social media campaign to be posted and shared publicly, as well as confront challenges faced with working with a nonprofit across the country. The artifact also allowed me to generate new ideas to address philanthropic issues because the organization had never held a #GivingTuesday campaign before. This project allowed me to be innovative and taught me adaptability, both important skills in the fundraising world.
Below is my final exam project for my Introduction to Fundraising course where I developed a nonprofit from the start, developed a project plan and wrote a budget. This learning experience made me confident in my ability to be a fundraiser in the future and that I enjoyed this type of work.
This artifact allowed me to investigate best practices in starting a nonprofit in depth as well as investigating the need the nonprofit hopes to address, creating a plan while synthesizing new and existing ideas in original ways and making decisions that I think would be best for the nonprofit to thrive. The strategic plan and SWOT analysis (seen on page 8) helps to dial in my ability to create a plan and make decisions. This artifact also allowed me to demonstrate my ability to apply what I have learned in other PHST classes and articulate my own ideas and provide evidence on why they would be effective to start a nonprofit. This can be seen in my ability to write a fundraising letter, an important skill that all fundraisers need.
